At the recent meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), Lymphoma Coalition held the official kick-off meeting for a new partnership with the Latin American Lymphoproliferative Study Group (GELL).
GELL is a respected non-profit academic organisation dedicated to advancing onco-hematology, particularly lymphoproliferative disorders such as lymphomas and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, through education, research promotion, and the development of cooperative networks.
This partnership aims to advance lymphoma care across Latin America, working closely with Members in the region to support their growth and capacity building, and to promote the creation of national lymphoma patient advocacy groups in countries where they are currently missing. Together, we will strengthen collaboration channels with the lymphoma community in each country, developing coordinated priorities that reflect both national and regional needs.
The kick-off meeting brought together 20 national leaders from GELL, representing 11 of the 16 countries in the regional cooperative network, alongside key opinion leaders from the United States and Spain who are supporting this important effort.
Together, we can build a stronger, more connected advocacy landscape and drive meaningful improvements for people affected by lymphoma across Latin America.
