Undetectable peripheral blood MRD should be the goal of venetoclax in CLL, but attainment plateaus after 24 months

Key points: Undetectable minimal residual disease (MRD) in peripheral blood or bone marrow comparably predicts longer-term survival in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia receiving venetoclax. The majority of patients with relapsed/refractory CLL who achieve undetectable MRD on venetoclax therapy do so within 24 months.
