World Lymphoma Awareness Day 2025 – Campaign Highlights

The 2025 WLAD campaign reached an impressive 10,238,197 individuals, creating meaningful connections and fostering awareness worldwide. The campaign URL; worldlymphomaawarenessday.org received 15,000 page views.
A key improvement this year included the toolkit downloads which involved an increase of 2,138 (a 16% increase from 2024), underscoring stronger engagement with WLAD resources.
These results highlight the collective efforts in advancing lymphoma awareness and continuing the important dialogue that WLAD encourages, specifically as it relates to Honest Talk and the need to approach tough conversations with confidence.
WLAD Video:
For the first time, LC adopted AI technology to produce the campaign video, enabling faster localisation and lowering barriers to participation. This approach allowed more Members to be featured, streamlined multilingual production, and ensured the message reached audiences in formats that felt relevant and accessible.
The result was a step-change in performance and inclusivity. The video featured representatives from 18 organisations and incorporated 8 languages, underscoring LC’s global presence and signalling that the message resonated strongly across regions.

Distribution across owned and partner channels delivered 4,672 total views, a dramatic lift from 62 views in 2024—a 7,435% increase year over year.
WLAD Scholarship: 5 Global Recipients
The WLAD Scholarship Initiative is an exciting program aimed at supporting WLAD activities. This year, five scholarships, each worth $1,000 CAD were awarded to applicants who showcased exceptional dedication to raising awareness and promoting lymphoma related efforts.
- The Bulgarian Lymphoma Association produced a moving short film, A Feather from Me – Wings for You, portraying the emotional realities of three families affected by lymphoma.
- V Care focused on early detection with a school and community campaign, delivering awareness sessions across seven educational institutions and hosting a dedicated patient–caregiver activity in Vashi.
- The Niger League for the Fight Against Cancer prioritised face-to-face engagement, distributing printed materials and conducting door-to-door awareness across multiple regions despite challenging digital and political contexts.
- The Slovenian Association of Patients with Blood Diseases led a nationwide initiative during Blood Cancer Month, including hospital information booths, a central event in Ljubljana, and updated educational materials for patients and clinicians.
- The Blood Cancer Foundation of Tanzania organised an Honest Talk conference at ORCI, bringing together patients, caregivers, and health professionals for a full day of dialogue, practical education, and discussions on patient rights, stigma, and supportive care.
