This study explores the unmet needs of people living with graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) across Europe, focusing on improving patient care, support, and research. The research is based on insights gathered through a Community Advisory Board (CAB) organised by Lymphoma Coalition, which brought together patients, patient advocates, and members of the European Network on Chronic Graft-Versus-Host Disease (cGVHD) EUROGRAFT. This multidisciplinary approach ensured that the study reflected a wide range of perspectives and provided actionable recommendations for enhancing GVHD management.
The article is co-authored by Lorna Warwick, CEO of Lymphoma Coalition, and Natacha Bolaños, Head of Membership & Alliances at Lymphoma Coalition, alongside other experts in the field. The Lancet Haematology encourages authors to share their research widely, and Lymphoma Coalition is pleased to make this publication available on its website to ensure broader access for the patient community, advocates, and healthcare professionals.
Lymphoma Coalition extends its gratitude to The Lancet Haematology for publishing this important study and to all contributors who helped shape this work. By amplifying patient voices and fostering collaboration, this research represents a significant step towards improving the care and support available for those affected by GVHD.
